A "NEW" PSM-6B

ABSOLUTELY FLAWLESS!

 I refurbished this beautiful meter for a proud Air Force veteran several months ago.  Recently, I was lucky enough to reacquire and restore it again for someone who can appreciate a truly one-of-a-kind instrument.

It was obviously never used in the field - there is not a scratch on it anywhere.  The cover is unmared - without a dent. The original stencils are as nice as they day they were applied.

In all the years I have been restoring these meters this is the nicest one I have ever offered for sale - of any model!

The case screws are stainless steel and the latch point hardware has been polished, primed and painted with Krylon Industrial Enamel.

I believe this "6" was issued to McDonald-Douglas, the contractor that developed the F-4 Phantom. It was deployed with one of the first aircraft ever delivered to the DOD - Probably the Navy or Marine Corps around 1960.

 New stainless steel screws and washers throughout.

YOU CAN MONITOR DC, AC OR CURRENT READINGS FOREVER WITH NO BATTERY DRAIN WHATSOEVER BECAUSE THE BATTERY CIRCUIT IS ONLY USED DURING RESISTANCE MEASUREMENTS.

THE ADVANTAGES OF THAT FEATURE IS OBVIOUS TO THOSE WHO FIND THEMSELVES  IN A HOSTILE ENVIRONMENT - EITHER IN COMBAT OR OUT IN THE WOODS FIXING THE TRUCK.

Therefore consider this listing as representative of some of the meters currently in our inventory.  They may or may not be actually available.

 The "A" model meters are slightly newer and most have the overload feature intentionally disabled by the Air Force for safety reasons.

The "B" model is the most recent manufacture and is usually in better condition. ALL of the meters are reconditioned to the same specifications.

There is no difference between meters in actual measurement accuracy or performance. They differ only in cosmetic condition and installed features.
