Although analog technology is still used TODAY by military organizations in severe conditions including combat support, the US military uses digital meter technology at testing and calibration facilities throught the world.

By request, we now offer digital multimeters exclusively from the FLUKE corporation to complement our portable analog military multimeters.  These meters have been throughly tested and must meet the same high standards we require of their analog cousins before we will supply them to our customers.

FLUKE 8000 Series meters during the "burn-in" phase of testing. Each meter is connected to a 25VDC source and allowed to "cook" overnight to insure reliable long-term operation.

Here I test an 8000A/BU meter to make sure the batteries are fully charged before shipment. This analog meter functions as a battery indicator whether the meter is on or off. Additionally, during normal use, this meter deflects in direct proportion to the measured input giving an analog representation of the measured value.  This is VERY handy to spot fluctuations in the input that sometimes can go undetected in a digital display.

The meter on the right was obtained from the same lab at the same time. It has been calibrated and cleaned up for sale here.
